Mark Thurman is a professional author and illustrator noted for co-creating 154 episodes of the Mighty Mites comic strip in OWL Magazines. He graduated from the Central Tech Fine Art Program in Toronto, has illustrated and designed more than forty books, and is the author of fifteen of these. For the last ten years, Mark has been teaching Figure Drawing and Anatomy in the Classical Animation Department at Sheridan College in Oakville.
"We are extremely happy that our daughter got to experience this class. It was great to have Mark give her feedback on her drawing and some positive direction for her future."
"Our granddaughter found Mark to be very inspiring and she worked hard on her cartoon creation and is very proud of her finished poster! Mark was an excellent instructor who shared both his ability and enthusiasm for cartooning with his students."
"I applaud Mark Thurman's approach in challenging students to expand their style as well as their skill range and teaching them to shape and refine their vision over several iterations of a work. The course led to a new level of drawing and exploration for my child. Mark's course will be of great benefit to students considering an art career already or who are serious about expanding their drawing and conceptual skills."
